Gujarat: Mehsana district, Chandanki Gram Panchayat Has Also Got The Title Of Samaras Mahila Gram Panchayat.

It is said that old people with carts and something like this can be seen in a village in Mehsana district as soon as you enter the village you will see only old people.  Only old people live in this village. People know this village as a unique village.  What is special about this unique village?

This is a village where there is RCC road at every corner where there is 24-hour electricity and water where there are no mosquitoes were after independence there has never been an election where there are 100 per cent toilet and sanitation.  This village is Chandanki village in Becharaji taluka of Mehsana district.  In this village, against a population of 1000, 900 people have settled in America and Ahmedabad.

These seniors planned that no one had to cook at home.  And in the morning, afternoon and evening, tea, water and dinner are served in the same kitchen. yes, it would be surprising to know that every day about 60 elderly people eat in the same kitchen.  And no fuss about cooking.

The remarkable thing about the village is that since the implementation of Panchayati Raj in this village, i.e. since independence till today, no Gram Panchayat election has been held here.  The benefit of which can be seen from the development of the village.  There is a paved road, sewer, electricity and drinking water facility here.  So this year Chandanki Gram Panchayat has also got the title of Samaras Mahila Gram Panchayat.  Every old man living in this village today has no habit of living alone in the village or not living with his children.

And in the end, the sarpanch of Chandanki gram panchayat is giving the same message on behalf of the entire Chandanki village that we have no problem here but the children who make decisions like putting their parents in an old age home.  It will be their accomplishment to fill the same old age home one day.  So that every child should not miss the opportunity to serve his parents.

Why can't the sarpanches of other villages in each district develop their villages?  What one woman sarpanch did is also an example for other sarpanches.
