Be warned before going to Saudi Arabia!
The government of Saudi Arabia has warned pilgrims going on Umrah that if a pilgrim stays in Saudi Arabia beyond the expiry of his visa, it will be considered a violation of the law. Strict action will be taken against any such tourist.
The Saudi Arabian government has made a special appeal to people coming for Umrah. The Saudi government has appealed and said that any traveler should not stay in the Kingdom for long after performing Umrah and should return to their home country before the visa expires. The Ministry of Hajj and Umrah of the Saudi government also warned and said that if one stays in Saudi even after the visa expires, it will be considered a complete violation of the rules.
In the early days of October, the Saudi Arabian government has made a big announcement regarding Umrah pilgrims. The government of Saudi Arabia has said that the visa duration for people coming to Saudi Arabia for Umrah from any country including India has been increased from 30 days to 90 days. During these 90 days, pilgrims can travel comfortably to any part of the country.
The government of Saudi Arabia said that all pilgrims must register on the Nusuk app to obtain an Umrah permit. Government of Saudi Arabia has recently launched this app for Umrah pilgrims and Makkah-Madinah pilgrims.
Recently, the government of Saudi Arabia has also made health insurance mandatory for all pilgrims going for Umrah. The Ministry of Haj and Umrah said comprehensive health insurance is required for all pilgrims. This insurance should also cover the treatment of corona virus infection. Also, the insurance value should be one lakh Saudi Riyals.
In just two months, 20 lakh people got visas for Umrah
The government of Saudi Arabia has informed some time ago that the government has given visas to about two million people for Umrah in the last two months. The Saudi Ab government announced that Umrah began on a date of Muharram (30 July 2022), for which pilgrims from 176 countries have been granted visas.
