Why did White House Unfollow Narendra Mori on Twitter?

On Wednesday, Congress president Rahul Gandhi communicated "Twitted" that US President Donald Trump's White House Twitter account unfollowed Prime Minister Narendra Modi and President Ram Nath Kovind.

"I'm dismayed by the "unfollowing" of our President & PM by the White House. I urge the Ministry of External Affairs to take note."

Presently, the White House has clarified the purpose of the activity. The White House on Wednesday clarified that its Twitter handle commonly 'follows' the records of authorities from have nations for a short period during presidential visits, to retweet their messages on the side of the visit.
