Virat Kohli Wanted To Remove Rohit From Vice-Captaincy In Match.

Virat Kohli on Thursday announced his resignation from the captaincy of Team India's T20 format. Kohli will relinquish his captaincy in this format after the T20 World Cup in October. Kohli shared a post on social media announcing his resignation from the captaincy and putting everyone in trouble. 

According to PTI sources, Virat Kohli wanted to remove Rohit Sharma from the post of vice-captain. Among them, KL Rahul should be made vice-captain in ODIs and Rishabh Pant in the T20s. However, the board did not like Kohli's proposal as it believed that Virat did not want any successor.

There has been controversy before

During the 2019 ODI World Cup, news came out that Virat and Rohit did not even talk. However, head catch Ravi Shastri later denied all this. Not only that, but the report also came to light that Rohit has unfollowed Virat on social media. However, there was no truth in that.

Kohli does not trust young players.

The report said the Indian captain did not have the support of all the players in the team. Especially Virat doesn't give much importance to the junior players of the group. He could have dinner and even talk about cricket when needed, although it is complicated to communicate with Kohli off the field.

Three contenders for vice-captain

With Virat Kohli relinquishing the captaincy, Rohit Sharma could be made the captain of the T20 team, and Rishabh Pant and KL Rahul could be the vice-captains. Also, fast bowler, Jaspreet Bumrah will be ahead in the race for the post. A BCCI source said Pant's claim is strong, though Rahul cannot be denied as he is also the captain of the IPL. Not only that, but fast bowler Jaspreet Bumrah can also prove to be a hidden Rustam.
