UNHCR Has Appealed To Neighbouring Nations To Allow 5 Lakh Afghans To Leave The Country.

Expressing this fear on Friday, the UN refugee agency has appealed to all neighboring countries to open their borders.

The US refugee agency said more than half a million Afghans could leave the country amid deteriorating conditions in Afghanistan. The agency has appealed that neighboring countries should open their borders because of the safety of these people.

UN High Commissioner for Refugees Kelly Clement said: “In terms of numbers, we are preparing ourselves for about 5 million new refugees. 

This is the worst-case scenario.

He said the situation inside Afghanistan was so bad that it was unimaginable. Let me remind you that on 15 August 2021, the Taliban captured Kabul, and immediately the whole of Afghanistan was shaken. The rush to leave Afghanistan was spotted at Kabul airport. 

A massive crowd of people had gathered here.

The pictures of those who were in a hurry to leave the country were astonishing. People were seen running wild at the airport. People were also seen running alongside the plane on the runway to board the plane. Not only that, but some people were also seen hanging from the aircraft in this hurry and the meanwhile there was an accident.
