Time to say bye to Acne by avoiding these bad habits!
Especially young girls are very conscious of the tiny foes that refuse to leave their skin. This is a common problem not only for girls/women but also seen in boys/men. Nobody wants to leave the house with those follicles on their cheeks & want to try out everything possible right from trying different creams, lotions or face washes to trying out some natural household remedies. But, there are certain things that we tend to do in our daily lives that actually cause more of these breakouts & acne.
So, below are some of the bad habits that we must avoid in order to save ourselves from this common but horrible skin condition.
- Forgetting to remove makeup – after returning home from a party or a family function girls always feel lazy to remove their makeup which acts as one of the worst habits that can cause acne & may make the skin drier. Makeup collects the dirt & sweat & clogs pores which in turn produce bacteria on the skin.
- Being stressed always – a stress hormone named Cortisol leads to inflammation & makes the skin more oily, storing sweat & dirt & clogging pores in the skin, which gives rise to bacteria. For a healthy lifestyle, keeping away from stress is anyway recommended.
- Smoking – this is one such harmful habit which can make a person look older than their age by damaging the collagen & elastin in their skin. It also leads to the production of heat in the body, which leads to more breakouts.
- Overuse of skin products – some think that using face washes, scrubs, cleansers more than twice a day will keep their skin hydrated & clean, little do they know that it can, in fact, add more of acne to their skin. Good oils that are already present in the skin get removed by over usage of these products & even make the skin rougher.
- Using soap for face – our face does not need products with higher pH levels & soaps generally have pH levels ranging from 9 to 11. It adds to acne since soaps have harsh chemicals making the skin more prone to acne & breakouts.
The list of bad habits is a long one & there are a few other habits as well that one should keep away from to avoid acne like consuming strong prescribed medicines, being unhygienic, consumption of high-glycemic food, not washing hands frequently, too much intake of alcohol, etc.
