Amid the Coronavirus pandemic, the government of Germany delayed the decision to resume or cancel the league by a week.
The Bundesliga clubs will continue to train in small groups but will have to wait for the decision to resume the 2019-20 season in the hope that the government will end the two-month suspension of the league.
Chancellor Angela Merkel has stated that any decision regarding resuming or suspension of sports to be taken on 6th of May.
Bundesliga has pleaded the government to resume the season as many clubs will face a financial turmoil with loss of large revenues from TV deals. They’ve agreed to play behind closed doors with enhanced medical treatment and testing of those involved.
Germany has suffered over 6710 deaths from Corona Virus with more than 164100 people affected.
