This celebrity-loved brand has released a body wash powder
I'm as picky about what I put on my body as I am about what I put on my hair - especially in the shower. The main thing for me is that I have pretty sensitive skin, so why not use it, but when I heard about the new ecological body wash from the famous star Blueland, I was intrigued. Not only because it's packed with skin-beneficial ingredients but also because the powder-to-gel formula
Sure, the sold-out Blueland bath soap is officially launching today, but the brand sent me a test sample a few weeks before its release. The short one? That's great and 100 percent worth adding to your essential toiletries set. So long? Blueland is changing the personal care game with a reusable body wash that eliminates single-use plastic. And as an eco-conscious consumer, that was a big draw to me, even before I worked hard.
The $16 starter kit comes with an 18-ounce refillable bottle designed to be used repeatedly (hence the name Forever Bottle), along with a powder refill pouch that is indeed a body wash. Unfortunately, when I opened the packaging, I had no idea how these two things would turn into a gel I could lather in the shower, so I had to test it out soon.
I followed the instructions (with photos!) that listed step by step what to do:
- Fill the Forever Bottle with cold water.
- Pour the powder into the H2O.
- Shake for about 10 seconds and wait about an hour for the magic to work.
Of course, 60 minutes later, this water and powder mixture turns into a gel with a pleasant smell that I noticed when I tested it on my hands and then in the shower.
After the first use, I knew this would be my new body wash because it is a sustainable option and because it feels so good on my skin. Its proven moisturizing formula contains plant-based and eco-friendly ingredients such as wheat germ, vitamin E, and kaolin clay that won't irritate even the most sensitive skin. The gel lathers well but not so much that the leather absorbs the soul leaving my skin fresh, clean, and hydrated. I have even noticed that the dry, irritated patches on my elbows are calmer after washing.
