The vehicle was turning for me': Sam Bird on the race of his life.

Sports stars regularly talk about being in the "zone," that legendary spot where beneficial things occur. 

For Equation E driver Sam , his "zone" second came in what he calls the "race of my life" in Buenos Aires in 2016. 

The Briton drove from the beginning and says he was at one with his vehicle, despite the fact that he portrayed the experience as "serious" as he battled off a phalanx of challengers to secure his first triumph that season. 

"Experiencing the last chicane of each and every lap I simply expected to show the front of the vehicle the corner and the vehicle was turning for me," he revealed to CNN's Supercharged Network program. 

"I don't think I actually truly expected to do an excess of guiding info, I just played with the back like an assembly vehicle for 30 odd laps. It was super extreme." 

From winning on his old neighborhood track in London in 2015 to slamming out in Mexico City recently, the 30-year-old Fowl has encountered almost everything conceivable on the track.
