The screen time of Tom Cruise's Iron Man has been revealed in a new leak

Key Takeaways:

According to one of the film's longest-running rumors, Tom Cruise portrays a variation of Iron Man in Marvel's upcoming film Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness Fans claims to have seen him in trailers; unsubstantiated set photos of the actor have also surfaced on the internet.

A fresh piece of information from a Marvel insider has surfaced regarding Tom Cruise's screen time in the picture, which may surprise fans.

Fans had been predicting that Tom might play an Iron Man variation for months. There were even photos of the actor from the set of the movie. They could not, however, be validated. Many fans speculated that the hazy figure in the trailer was Tom's Iron Man, although this has yet to be confirmed.

Now, Marvel insider KC Walsh has reportedly ended the rumors, revealing that Tom Cruise would not be appearing in Doctor Strange 2. When a fan questioned how much screen time Tom had in the film, they reacted with a GIF that said "nil" in a recent Twitter chat.

While many fans are unhappy, some remain sceptical, alleging that Marvel is attempting to rescue the picture by misinformation. Some even speculated that Tom's character was deleted from the movie after it leaked, which would explain the late reshoots.

Doctor Strange 2 is a direct sequel to Spider-Man: Homecoming. Because the film is about variants and the multiverse, there's a chance that multiple performers will appear in cameo roles, either as variations of existing characters or reprising roles from other franchises. Tom's rumored appearance is only one of many fan ideas circulating.

Other notable cameos are expected to include John Krasinski as Mr. Fantastic, Ryan Reynolds, Tobey Maguire, and Halle Berry returning their roles as Deadpool, Spider-Man, and Storm, respectively, in the film. None of these, however, have been proven.

Sam Raimi directed Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, which stars Benedict Cumberbatch and  Elizabeth Olsen. It will be launched as part of MCU's Phase 4 on May 6, 2022.
