The magic of being amid the colorful delights of nature
Spices of Life: Whenever I meet flowers, they greet me with all their joy. The peaceful observation of the flowers themselves is truly calming; I don't know the names of most of them.
Most mornings, before sunrise, I can be found at my desk by the large window in my room. As the sun slowly rose, my face kept turning to the window every few minutes to focus my eyes on the large balcony decorated with charming flower pots. They make me smile. Sometimes they even give me a poetic monologue that just came out a few weeks ago and keeps reminding me it's springtime.
Their happy faces, even if they are fleeting, give me immense joy and serenity, which in the end distracts me from any writer's block, an annoying foe to any writer. You will never understand that they also took away my fatigue and armed me with lots of ideas for writing.
And instead of just enjoying their company from my window, for me, it has become a ritual to sit with them. Whenever I meet them, they greet me with all their cheers. The peaceful observation of the flowers themselves is truly calming; I don't know the names of most of them, and I didn't bother to find out. Perhaps its beauty is enough for me, which decorates the balcony, as many of our neighbors and guests warmly say. "Flowers are music on earth.
From the lips of the earth, spoken without a sound," noted writer Edwin Curran, as the poet Ralph Waldo Emerson saw, "The earth laughs in flowers." I remember the thoughts of many writers as I continued the colorful delights and their winged guests, especially the butterflies. Like a flower, its wings resonate eloquently - nothing beats the creativity of nature certainly far beyond the imagination of any human being.
Several pots let my joy whistle dramatically as the four streams sat together, giving me a lovely rainbow and admiring the mix of fragrances they give off. Sometimes I don't mind sticking my nose up to hers. This enjoyment of nature haunts me on the roof, where I read for hours. So many people surrounded the wooden bench I was sitting on. They are my peaceful companions during the holidays as I reflect on what I have read.
