The indian government has banned 59 Chinese apps, including TikTok.

The Indian government has decided to ban 59 smartphone applications. The banned app is made in China and is owned by Chinese companies. The decision by the Indian government comes when a boycott of Chinese goods, software, and apps has erupted in India after 20 Indian soldiers were killed in a violent clash with Chinese troops in the Galwan Valley in eastern Ladakh

Ministry of IT This step has been taken under Act 69. The app has been banned on both Android and iOS platforms. In addition to electronics, according to the IT ministry, the app has been banned as “detrimental to India's sovereignty as well as unity, security, and order.” A press release issued by the IT Ministry said, “This decision has been taken in the interest of millions of mobile and internet users in India. So, the security of India Cyberspace can be ensured.”
