Stranger Things nears the end of apocalyptic season 4 when the star says Joyce "is going to save all the Hawkins kids"

Get ready for the battle between Eleven and Vecna in Volume II of Stranger Things Season 4.

On Thursday, Netflix released footage from the final two episodes of the penultimate season, which will premiere on July 1.

The dramatic video begins with Vekna (Jamie Campbell Bower) threatening Eleven (Dear Bobby Brown) and saying, "It's over Eleven."

He added ominously, "You set me free. You can't stop this now." The teaser trailer picks up right where the show stops in the seventh episode titled "The Hawkins Laboratory Massacre," when Eleven uses her powers to free the friendly medic and reveals that she's the worst villain of all time: Windows.

The video also features Detective Jim Hopper (David Harbour) standing next to a frozen Demogorgon. On the same day the video was released, Harbor, 47, shared a sweet tribute to fellow actress Winona Ryder on Instagram, along with a photo of their characters embracing.

"The heartbeat behind every ST season is Joyce and Winona Ryder's amazing performances over the past seven years," he wrote. "Joyce will save his son, all the Hawkins kids, his old friend Hopper, and the drying magnet from his crazy kitchen magnet." Earlier this month, Stranger Things creators Matt and Ross Duffer, aka the Duffer Brothers, promised that at the end of season four, many questions would be answered, including clarity about Will's (Noah Schnapp) sexuality.

"This is where it gets tough because we haven't released the entire season yet," Matt told TVLine. "I just want people to see the last two episodes."

"We have story arcs and character arcs," Ross added. "When we put together [the season], we released the first two acts of this story. The final act, which is the last two episodes, unlocked a lot, both the characters and the story, and then some of that got us ready for our final season as well."

The first seven episodes of Stranger Things 4 are already streaming on Netflix; Episodes 8 and 9 will be released on streaming services on July 1.
