Scarlett Johansson says she was 'protected' before becoming pregnant

"I wanted to be able to have my feelings about a changing body without other people telling me how they saw me, whether positive or negative," Johansson said in a recent interview. Scarlett Johansson has revealed her decision to keep her pregnancy a secret.

Bintang Singh, 37, is the mother of daughter Rose Dorothy, 7, who she shares with ex-husband Romain Doriac, and son Cosmo, whom she met with husband Colin Yost in August.

Speaking to Vanity Fair about her new skincare brand, The Outset, Johansson said in an interview published Tuesday that her mother's awakening has been a "beginning" or "reboot" feeling for her.

"Having children is the most significant life-changing thing. "I have two children; after giving birth to my daughter [Rose], it took a long time for me to experience the feeling of a new beginning," the actress said. First and worry about where you are still connected to your baby. And after that, I started working pretty quickly.

Johansson continues, "It wasn't until my daughter was more independent than me, maybe about two years, that I reinvented myself. I said to myself, "What is most important to me in my life?" what I make has to be intentional in a way that I'm not very interested in wanting to feel life happening for me. I know more about what I don't want in my life and career."

Johansson explained her decision to be "very careful" with her two pregnancies, saying she "didn't want to feel like she was being carefully considered in public."

She adds, "I want to be able to have my feelings about a changing body without other people telling me how they see me, whether it's positive or negative."

During her pregnancy with Cosmo, she realized how much people are attracted to pregnancy - their hopes, judgments, or desires, mostly placed on pregnant women. A lot of people will immediately tell me things like, "How great, my God, that's amazing." Johansson also noted that while she waited, she was criticized by other women.
