Ryan Cabrera and Alexa Bliss are married! In his "unconventional" rock star wedding

"Our wedding was considered a 'show,'" Ryan Cabrera told PEOPLE about his Palm Desert wedding to WWE star Alexa Bliss.

Ryan Cabrera and Alexa Bliss are officially crossing the On the Way Down track.

The 39-year-old singer and 30-year-old WWE star got married on April 9 at Kempa Villa in Palm Desert, California, as PEOPLE can exclusively announce.

"That's a lot of us," Cabrera said. "It was all meant to reveal our personalities, and we were far from normal."

Cabrera and Bliss - who started planning their wedding soon after they got engaged in November 2020 - fell in love with their apartment (which belonged to a friend) after they went to nearby Joshua Tree to go glamping, stopping to visit it. First time. Then, after getting engaged, they saw their boyfriend again, who owned the five-acre property, and he suggested it could be the "perfect" backdrop for their wedding.

"We were like, 'Oh my God,' this is perfect," Cabrera said. "It is gorgeous and situated in the mountains. Below is a vineyard, and behind the house is a beautiful lake. It's also pretty far outside of Los Angeles." In contrast to the mansion's serene setting are the giant glowing S-Show sign and the bright pink carpet lining the 360 ​​guest list (which Cabrera says is made of 608 "removed") greeted upon arrival.

When guests arrived, they managed to pour themselves a glass of Campo Viejo Cava champagne from the Bubble Tap pendant while drowning in the acoustic sounds of singer Tyler Ward and harpist Lexi Lowell.

Cabrera and Bliss had people walking down the aisle throwing gunfire at the audience instead of the flower shop "to set the stage to kick off the ceremony."
