Reese Witherspoon's striped dress is lighter than Megan Markle's recent shirt trend.
If you quickly browse Reese Witherspoon's Instagram page, you'll probably notice a common theme: She always wears the cutest clothes. So, of course, we always turn to them for style inspiration. But there was one dress that didn't make the grid, we thought.
Earlier this week, the 46-year-old founder of Hello Sunshine was photographed in Beverly Hills, leaving a baggy suit. And while we're curious about what's in his bag, we're more interested in the blue and white striped shirt he wore to the meeting. He rolled his sleeves to his elbows and added sunglasses and silver sandals. If you can only see a piece of clothing on top of the bag, you'll think at first glance that he's only wearing a button-down shirt. The dress is reminiscent of the blue and white striped blouse Megan Markle wore during Prince Harry's recent polo tournament, but apparently with a longer hemline. It's worth mentioning that Oprah Winfrey is also a fan of the blue-striped top.
All celebrities seem to agree that the button-down style is a must for summer. But we especially love the Witherspoon dress from this popular warm-weather product because a) it's much lighter and even easier to wear, and b) it's versatile enough to wear for all your summer plans.
Dress casually in barbecue sneakers in the garden, wear them as your beach swimsuit or pair them with brunette wedge heels – the possibilities are endless. We're not exactly sure where Witherspoon's blue and white striped dress came from, but there are plenty of similar options online.
Although we can't see the whole dress, the horizontal lines around her waist suggest that she wears a thick belt. This button-down dress, which costs just $34, fits her perfectly. We also love the loose midi style with a more relaxed fit, and this light-tiered dress from Amazon is under $40.
TL; DR: You need a striped dress in your seasonal collection. Keep scrolling to shop for Reese Witherspoon-inspired styles before summer's official.
