Electric cars are predicted to have the potential to revolutionize the future; they are 100% eco friendly as they run on an electrically powered system that does not emit toxic gases and is supposed to be extremely environment friendly. 


The need for electric vehicles is essential for a green planet. Many car manufacturing giants worldwide are trying to push EVs into the market for a better tomorrow, including India.

While the manufacturers are busy introducing models with high-end features, there's one small town in Gujarat, which has its own innovative way of manufacturing an electric car made out of scrap. Unbelievable but true, this feat has been undertaken by the top electrical college students in Gujarat. 


Low-Cost Electric Car in Gujarat:

They have come out with this low-cost electrical car made out of scrap material. These brilliant minds study at C.U Shah University, located in Wadhwan, Gujarat. Under Professor Bhavesh Raval's able guidance, they have completed this project, a great achievement from students from a small city in India. Navdeep Singh Dodia, Akash Jadav, Dharmik Patdia and Krunal Patel are the four young geniuses who have done the country proud by creating this innovative project which is right up to the mark.

Electric car speed and Battery Charge Details:

The car runs around 30 kilometres on a single charge, and it takes an approximate time of 2 hours to charge the car battery. It can go up to 35-40 kmph and is made on a meagre budget of 50,000 rupees. 


The creators of this car say that they had for long been thinking about how to create a vehicle that does not pollute the environment and finally got a green signal when they got hold of a scrap vehicle and fitted the required components like batteries and controllers to make it ready to run on the roads. "The brilliant students took approximately around six months to complete the entire project which was given to them during the period of lockdown which they utilized efficiently," says Professor Raval.

The students were felicitated for their outstanding innovation by the university president, Dr Jitendrabhai Sanghvi Saheb, Engineer Shri Kiranbhai Mehta Saheb Vice-chancellor Dr Hemant Trivedi. The Dean of the University, Dr Nimit Shah, highly praised the achievements of these students, saying, "they have developed an electric car which is the technology of the future, these students have worked extremely hard, and they are definitely going to turn out as best entrepreneurs shortly." Speaking on their unique innovation, the students Navdeep Singh Dodia and Akash Jadav said that this is the best way to prevent the environment from pollution hazards.
