Pakistan Unlikely To Exit Financial Action Taskforce Gray List: Report
Pakistan is probably not going to leave the Financial Action Task Force (FATF) dark rundown as it has been not able to agree to six of the 27 focuses in the worldwide guard dogs activity plan, a media report said referring to political sources as saying.
The Express Tribune report cited the sources as saying on Tuesday that Pakistan will prevail with regards to leaving the dark rundown by June one year from now. The report came a day in front of the gathering's virtual whole meeting which will audit Pakistan's advancement on the 27-point activity plan.
The meeting will finish up on Friday.
Pakistan was set on the dim rundown in June 2018 for neglecting to take sufficient measures against illegal tax avoidance and fear financing. It was then given a 27-point activity plan with a notice that neglecting to execute it would prompt its boycotting.
Pakistan won a three-month further augmentation to finish its 27-point activity plan as a result of the Covid pandemic. The cutoff time was June this year however the FATF stretched out it because of the deferment of its entire.
