Ezra Miller was detained on suspicion of assault early Tuesday, marking the second time in recent weeks that the actor best known for his role as The Flash in the "Justice League" films has been arrested in Hawaii.
As per the news release from the Hawaii Police Department, Miller became enraged after being asked to leave a get-together at a Big Island residence and threw a chair, striking a woman in the forehead.
According to authorities, the woman refused treatment for a half-inch (1.3-centimeter) cut on her forehead.
Miller, a 29-year-old Vermont visitor, was nabbed during a traffic stop and released, awaiting further investigation, according to police.
Miller appeared in court through Zoom around twelve hours after his arrest for an arrest the previous month at a Big Island karaoke bar.
Miller pleaded no contest to disorderly behavior and was fined $500 and told to avoid Hilo's Margarita Village.
Miller was also seized with harassment after police said he took a microphone from a singer and lunged at a man playing darts.
A version of the Lady Gaga and Bradley Cooper ballad "Shallow" enraged Miller, according to Hawaii Police Assistant Chief Kenneth Quiocho.
Prosecutors dropped the harassment allegation and an unrelated traffic charge as part of a plea deal.
Miller was issued a traffic citation after officers were dispatched to a conflict in downtown Hilo last month, during which Miller was uncooperative, refusing to leave the area, and obstructing a sidewalk, according to Quiocho.
Miller's Hawaii lawyer did not respond to a request for comment on the latest arrest. A third lawyer, as well as a Miller representative, did not immediately reply to requests for comment.
There was no mention of the most recent arrest during the court session.
Attorney Francis Alcain of the Big Island had sought a court hearing set for next week to be pushed up to Tuesday. In a court statement, Alcain stated that his client "has different time-sensitive work obligations in California and/or New York" and that an earlier hearing is necessary "to settle this problem."
A Big Island couple filed a petition for a temporary restraining order the day after Miller was released on $500 bail for the karaoke bar incident, claiming the actor came into their bedroom and threatened them. Following a request from the couple's counsel, the case was dismissed last week.
An attorney for the couple, William Dean, declined to comment on why his clients had decided not to obtain a restraining order against Miller.
Miller's bail was applied to the $500 fine by Judge M. Kanani Laubach, leaving a $30 fee to pay.
Miller also appears in "Fantastic Beasts: The Secrets of Dumbledore," the third episode of the Harry Potter spinoff.
