Olivia Rodrigo is performed by Kristen Stewart, Jared Leto, and other celebrities

Key takeaways:

Some of your favorite actors are channeling their inner adolescent angst.

In a new video for their "lyrical improv" series, actors featured in W Magazine's 2022 Best Performances Issue gave their version on Olivia Rodrigo's mega single "Drivers License."

The video features Jodie Comer, Jared Leto, Kristen Stewart, Kirsten Dunst, Tessa Thompson, Jennifer Hudson, Leslie Odom Jr., Emilia Jones, Zazie Beetz, Simon Rex, Saniyya Sidney, Filippo Scotti, Kodi Smit-McPhee, as well as Ruth Negga. They each put their unique spin on the song.

Stewart, 31, chose to pronounce the song's words aloud like poetry, while Comer, 28, belted out the lyrics with authority. Rex, 47, tried to perform the song while jokingly hitting various notes.

After the film, the actors chuckled at their performances, with Leto, 50, even joking that he felt like "William Shatner" during his take.

The mashup video was released before the Oscars, hosted by Amy Schumer, Regina Hall, and Wanda Sykes on March 27.

Rodrigo's debut song, "Drivers License," was released in January 2021. The song topped the charts for eight weeks in a row, and it was the first song to reach one billion global streaming.

Rodrigo's breakup from her music video producer boyfriend Adam Faze was announced last week, seven months after they were first seen together.

"They've been in town for a while," an insider said.

Rodrigo, 19, and Faze, 24, fuelled relationship speculations last summer when they were photographed snuggling up to one other and holding hands at the premiere of Space Jam 2 in California.

Faze told source in June that she was "a lot happier today" than when she composed the lyrics of her popular first album Sour.

She explained, "I'm simply always learning and growing at such a quick rate." "I'm writing tunes, and I'm having a great time. I'm a lot happier now than I was when I was writing that album, which is fantastic."

Rodrigo also revealed last week that her next Disney+ documentary, Olivia Rodrigo: driving home 2 u (a Sour film), will premiere on March 25.

Fans will be able to follow Rodrigo as she travels among Salt Lake City, where she began writing Sour, and Los Angeles, all while she reminisces about her time working on the now-triple platinum album.
