The Indian government has authorized private bio-diesel producers to independently promote and sell bio-fuel, heralding a promising energy transformation in the country. My Eco Energy (MEE) is at the forefront of this transformation with its innovative
renewable diesel, Indizel. MEE has recently inaugurated a new bio-fuel station in Khalapur, Pune, where customers can access Indizel, as confirmed in an official statement by MEE.
The Minister expressed his support for the My Eco Energy bio-diesel station, emphasizing its positive impact. He highlighted the station's cost advantage, with bio-diesel being Rs 2-3 cheaper than conventional fuels. In addition to cost savings, he underlined the environmental benefits of bio-diesel, which reduces pollution and decreases the nation's fuel import expenses. Gadkari suggested utilizing domestic and industrial sewage for cultivating bio-fuel crops. He also expressed optimism that increased bio-diesel production could transform India from an oil-importing nation to an oil-exporting one. The event was attended by prominent figures, including Shrirang Barne (MP), Suresh Lad (MLA), Ram Seth Thakur (Ex. What are the future plans for MEE?
Our future plans involve an extensive expansion of the bio-diesel retail and distribution network across Maharashtra. We aim to open 500 fuel stations and approximately 2000-3000 smaller outlets, ensuring widespread access to our bio-diesel.
How does MEE produce bio-diesel?
We primarily produce bio-diesel using locally sourced edible oils. This bio-diesel is biodegradable and non-toxic. Our current capacity allows us to source up to 25 lakh litres a day, and we have the flexibility to expand our capacity locally as needed.
What's the motivation behind this endeavour?
Our goal is to promote zero-emission vehicles and significantly reduce greenhouse gas emissions in Maharashtra. Transitioning the entire vehicle fleet to clean technology takes time, but Indizel can replace conventional fuel overnight, provided it is compatible with existing and future engines and infrastructure.
Can you summarize what Indizel is?
Indizel is a bio-diesel suitable for all diesel engines that can use existing tanks and pumps without any modifications. It can seamlessly replace petroleum diesel, with no limitations on blending. Indizel is versatile and can power various diesel vehicles such as cars, buses, trucks, and trains, as well as machinery like bulldozers, ships, agricultural tractors, electricity generators, industrial boilers, and furnaces.
Why the name 'Indizel'?
We have a unique retail model where retailers with limited space and minimal capital investment can profit from selling Indizel. Retailers can choose the tank size and pump configuration based on their available capital and space.
What are the economic benefits of Indizel?
First, there are no subsidies involved, which saves taxpayers money. Indizel reduces the dependency on fossil fuels, thus saving on the import bill. Additionally, biofuel production generates employment opportunities, especially in rural areas, as it requires workers for production and suitable biofuel crop cultivation, benefiting the agriculture industry.

Indizel usage leads to a substantial reduction in carbon monoxide and particulate matter emissions.
