Netanyahu condemns attempt to apprehend him regarding Gaza conflict
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu vehemently criticized the International Criminal Court's prosecutor for pursuing arrest warrants against him and Hamas leaders for alleged war crimes during the Gaza conflict.
Netanyahu expressed his repugnance at the comparison of "democratic Israel" with what he termed "mass murderers."
US President Joe Biden echoed Netanyahu's sentiments, emphasizing the disparity between Israel and Hamas.
Chief ICC prosecutor Karim Khan cited substantial grounds to hold Netanyahu and Defense Minister Yoav Gallant accountable for purported war crimes and crimes against humanity in Gaza.
The ICC also seeks a warrant for Hamas leader Yahya Sinwar for war crimes.
Israel and its key ally, the US, are not ICC members, established in 2002.
