Nation: Manmohan Singh's health stable; developed a reaction to a new medication.

Former PM Manmohan Singh, on Sunday, was admitted to AIIMS hospital after feeling uneasy and acute chest pain. After providing the necessary treatment, the 87 year-old Congress leader is stable and under observation, at the hospital. Hospital sources claim that he suffered a reaction to a new medication thereby developing a fever, & said that he was admitted to the hospital after it was observed that he developed a febrile reaction to a new medication. The former PM is currently placed under observation at the Cardio-thoracic Centre of AIIMS. 


 

To rule out other causes of fever further investigation is being carried on him claimed sources, further adding, "He is being investigated to rule out other causes of fever and is being provided care as needed. He is stable and under the care of a team of doctors at the Cardio-thoracic Centre of AIIMS." A source close to Singh has said, "All his parameters are fine, he is under observation at AIIMS." The veteran Congress leader is getting proper treatment and appropriate care is being taken of him.



 

Dr Manmohan Singh, the former PM of India, oversaw a reign of two terms from 2004 to 2014. He is at present, Member of Rajya Sabha from Rajasthan and is also one of the senior-most leaders of the opposition, Congress. Many leaders expressed their thoughts on his speedy recovery. Last week, top Congress leadership with Rahul Gandhi, Sonia Gandhi was held to discuss the coronavirus crisis with the chief ministers of Congress-ruled states, Manmohan Singh also was amongst the attendees.
