"Black also white are the colors of the night," says Holly Katz, stylist, and host of the Fashion Crimes podcast. Lively, one of the evening hosts, wore bronze and rose gold vision that turned into a shimmering light blue layer when a large bow was tied. Lively's gaze is inspired by the Statue of Liberty, the Empire State Building, and Grand Central Station's blue ceiling.

"Rather than looking to fashion to influence clothing, I look to New York architecture," says Lively.

Camilla Cabello made an oversized white dress with a mid-waist corset by Prabal Gurung. In contrast, Jordan Roth, the theater producer, made her invention by removing the black egg-like shell into a suit that fits baggy pants. Finally, Janelle Monáe offered royalty hair in a colorful black and white helmet and sheer dress with a headpiece.
