Carey's newest project, the "Always Be My Baby" challenge on Spotlight — Snapchat's entertainment forum for user-generated content — went live on Saturday, and she's requesting fans to share their Valentine's Day plans with her!
The superstar, 52, opens a promo video with a statement to her fans while sitting on a couch with a Snapchat filter on her face.
"Hello darlings, happy Valentine's Day," she asserts in the video before blowing a kiss. "So today's all about love, so why don't you enlist me on Snapchat by using my song 'Always Be My Baby' in Spotlight, as well as show me how you're spending your special day," she says.
Bryan Tanaka, her boyfriend, then presents her with a tray containing two glasses, a champagne bottle, and a heart-shaped chocolate box. Carey toasts the camera after he pours a glass for her and himself.
Participants in the challenge will compete for a share of $100,000, with the top Snap receiving $50,000, $30,000, and $20,000 going to second and third place, respectively.
Last month, the "Fantasy" singer revealed that her first picture book, The Christmas Princess, will be released in fall 2022 by Henry Holt Books for Young Readers. The book is illustrated by Fuuji Takashi and co-written with Michaela angela Davis, who worked with Carey on her bestselling 2020 memoir The Meaning of Mariah Carey.

Returning to the topic of Valentine's Day and romance, Tanaka and Carey spent the holidays in Aspen together, and a source told PEOPLE at the time that their relationship was "going from strength to strength."
