Machine Gun Kelly tells why he cracked a glass of champagne on his head: 'No fork.'
The rocker was injured Tuesday after performing at the Mainstream Sellout Tour concert at Madison Square Garden in New York.
Machine Gun Kelly is not afraid of spilling blood.
During his "Late Night with Seth Myers" appearance on Wednesday, the 32-year-old musician explained why he threw a glass of champagne to his forehead the day before. The incident happened Tuesday night after he headlined a Mainstream Sellout Tour concert at Madison Square Garden in New York.
"When you click a champagne glass with a fork to get people's attention?" the singer asked the 48-year-old presenter. "Yeah, I don't have a fork, so I just hit my head with it."
In an interview, the "gfy" singer revealed why appearances in the cult arena are vital to her.
"My first song came from New York. I was the 1st rapper to win an amateur night at the Apollo Theater in Haarlem, and it was $45, and I never redeemed it, I always kept it," explained MGK. Quickly looking forward to his excitement before his performance, he continued, "The only thing I have to say the whole time is the day was, 'We're in the park, we're in the park!'" He smashed a glass of champagne on his head and stomped on an impromptu rendition of "My Ex's Best Friend" while blood ran down his face.
In a video assigned to his Instagram story, MGK is seen talking before saying to the crowd, "I don't care," while continuing to break the glass in his face to catch his breath.
"And this is where things change..." MGK wrote in the video.
In another video shared via his Instagram Story, the crowd - including his fiancé Megan Fox, tour partner Avril Lavigne and fiancé Maud Sun - watch as MGK slaps "My Ex's Best Friend" with a bloody towel in hand as someone offers him a clean one. "F---that," reads the publication's caption.
