Kourtney Kardashian Discusses about IVF Complications; the Most Amazing Experience'
On Thursday's episode of The Kardashians, Kourtney Kardashian revealed that the medication she's taking to have a baby with Travis Barker has caused her to become depressed.
Kourtney, 43, revealed to mom Kris Jenner on Thursday's episode of Hulu's The Kardashians that she and Barker, 46, want to have a child.
The child would be the couple's first together. Kourtney already has kids with ex Scott Disick, including Mason, 11, Penelope, 9, and Reign, 6, and Barker has son Landon, 18, and daughter Alabama, 16. He also has a 22-year-old stepdaughter, Atiana, with his ex-wife Shanna.
However, things were not going as planned for Kourtney, who revealed that she is currently experiencing depression due to complications in her in vitro fertilization (IVF) journey.
Kris visited Kourtney's house and inquired about her eldest daughter's doctor's appointments. "Awful," Kourtney replied before elaborating in a confessional. "Travis also I want to have a baby, so my doctor led us down the path of IVF, which hasn't been the most pleasant experience."
"Every person on social media is always like, 'Kourtney's pregnant, Kourtney's pregnant, Kourtney's gained so much weight," Kourtney continued to her mother. I'm like; it's so rude to comment on people when you have no idea what you're talking about.
"The medication they've been giving me has caused me to enter menopause," she added. "Based on what?" "Is it a drug?" Kris inquired. "Yes," Kourtney confirmed. "The medication made me depressed."
"I think because I'm so clean and careful with what I put into my body, it's just having the complete opposite reaction and is working as a contraceptive instead of helping us," the Poosh founder confessed. Kris was taken aback by the news, telling her daughter, "I feel like I've never seen you happier, so the depression thing surprises me."
"And I have everything to be happy about," Kourtney responded. "I just have a weird feeling." I'm incredibly moody and hormonal.
