Kim Kardashian Talks about Assessing Health and Lifestyle Changes After Weight Loss at Met Gala
"It taught me a lot about my lifestyle and health, and I've continued to eat very healthily ever since," the Kardashian star said.
Kim Kardashian is busy balancing her career and personal life, raising her four children following her divorce from rapper Kanye "Ye" West, and exploring a new romance with comedian Pete Davidson.
The reality TV star also founder of SKIMS recently appeared on the Today show, got a platinum blonde pea haircut, and looks super chic. In addition, she opened up about many aspects of her personal life, most notably the recent Weight Loss Met Gala, which made headlines everywhere.
Talking about losing 16 pounds to fit Marilyn Monroe's iconic gala gown, the entrepreneur and acting attorney said it taught her "a lot about [her] lifestyle and [her] health." She also admitted that she "viewed [the Met Gala] as a role" and that "she wanted to wear that dress."
"It familiarized me a lot about my lifestyle and health, and I've continued to eat healthily ever since. I've lost 21 pounds now. I'm trying not to lose weight, but I have more energy than ever. Cut out so much sugar - I eat a lot of junk food; I didn't realize how much fried it was. And I completely changed my lifestyle," the Kardashian star said.
Her comments came after being criticized for losing weight and promoting weight loss to match Monroe's dress. Earlier this month, the nyt quoted him as saying, "I didn't say, 'Hey everyone, why don't you guys lose some weight for a while?' "Christian Bale can do it for a film role, and that's acceptable. Even Renee Zellweger filled the role. So I don't care."
