Katy looks sporty chic in a fitted brown dress and a sparkly football clutch.

Key Takeaways:

Katy Perry is a master at sticking to a theme.

On Thursday night, the 37-year-old singer did attend the 2022 NFL Honors, which she documented in a series of Instagram photos.

Perry appears in the series wearing a brown skintight, strapless dress with a matching pair of arm-length gloves.

The "Teenage Dream" singer wore two large diamond rings over her glove on the one hand while clutching a rhinestone clutch in the shape of a football on the other.

"Damn, should I retire #NFLHonors," the singer joked in the caption of her Instagram post, presumably alluding to Tom Brady's recent retirement.

Perry and JJ Watt presented the Defensive Player of the Year award during the NFL event. Watt's brother, TJ Watt, a linebacker for the Pittsburgh Steelers, received the award.

According to the NFL, TJ, 27, won the coveted award after receiving 42 of the 50 votes from a media panel. Micah Parsons of the Dallas Cowboys received five votes, while Aaron Donald of the Los Angeles Rams got 3. However, Parsons, 22, was named Defensive Rookie of the Year.

This was the seventh time a Steelers player had been honored in this manner. According to the NFL, Joe Greene has won the award twice, while Mel Blount, Jack Lambert, Rod Woodson, James Harrison, and Troy Polamalu have won it once.

JJ, 32, has won the Defensive Player of the Year award three times in the past three years, 2012, 2014, and 2015.

Other awards were given out at the NFL Honors, including Walter Payton Man of the Year, which went to Andrew Whitworth of the Rams, and the Associated Press NFL Most Valuable Player, which also went to Aaron Rodgers of the Packers.

The NFL Honors were held at the YouTube Theater in Los Angeles, California, just a short distance from the Super Bowl LVI matchup between the Los Angeles Rams and the Cincinnati Bengals.
