Kamala Harris admits to having a Wordle obsession: 'It's like a brain cleanser for me,' she says.

"If I have a break, say because people are running late or because I have a little 25-minute lunch break, I'll sometimes figure out Wordle while eating."

Wordle, a word game, has taken the world by storm, and U.S. Vice President Kamala Harris is a fan. She recently revealed her obsession with the five-letter word puzzle at a fundraiser in Washington, D.C., stating that the only problem is that she cannot share her results with the rest of the world because her phone does not allow it.

Harris described Wordle as a "brain cleanser" in an interview with The Ringer earlier this week. "So we're in the midst of very long days, back-to-back meetings on various serious issues." If I have a break, say because people are running late or because I have a little 25-minute lunch break, I'll sometimes figure out Wordle while I'm eating."

"I think that you have to have a healthy mix of consonants and vowels, and many words come with an S," she explained.

When asked how many guesses it usually takes her to solve the puzzle, the vice president replied, "It depends." When asked if her husband, second gentleman Douglas Emhoff, plays it, she replied, "He plays Wordle... He does not complete the New York Times Mini Crossword puzzle. He does the big one... and he stays up late doing it. Sometimes neither of us can sleep, and we'll ask each other, 'What is a five-letter word for?'

While she has many duties and responsibilities to fulfill, Harris reflected on her family, saying she "rose up in a family where the thing [they] do together after a family gathering is play games."

"Board and card games." My grandfather familiarized me how to play five-card stud poker when I was a kid. So it's just a part of how.
