Julia Fox paths the runway at New York Fashion Week after splitting from Kanye West

Julia Fox walked the runway for designer LaQuan Smith at New York Fashion Week following her split from Kanye West.

Fresh from her breakup with the artist Kanye West, Julia Fox opened LaQuan Smith's New York Fashion Week show in black on Monday night inside a century-old private club. The designer honored his cherished late mentor, Andre Leon Talley, with a moment of silence.

After the show, Fox spoke to The Associated Press about her breakup with Ye. "I adore Kanye." "We're still excellent friends, and I wish him the best," she said.

Ye's breakup with Fox came after only six weeks of dating, and it coincided with his social media rants about his estranged wife, Kim Kardashian West, and new beau Pete Davidson. On Valentine's Day, he uploaded a picture of a truckload of red roses he had delivered to Kim's Hidden Hills, California, mansion, where she lives with their four children. It's a house they used to share.

Smith, a rare Black designer to make a name for himself at New York Fashion Week, continues to be a go-to for the young and carefree. In a backstage interview, he told the Associated Press that he chose the club because he needed a change of scenery after taking over the Empire State Building's observation deck for his fashion week show last September.

Smith claims that the women who buy his clothes are "all about being the center of attention." His bold use of color and sequins, as well as his sparkly leotards worn with low-slung pants and a back thong out, will not disappoint. But it wasn't just about baring skin this season.

33-year-old Smith launched his brand in 2013. Beyoncé, Rihanna, Lady Gaga, Jennifer Lopez, Kim Kardashian West, and Hailey Bieber have all worn his designs.
