Johnny Knoxville filed for divorce from Naomi Nelson after almost 12 years of marriage

Knoxville and Nelson married in September 2010 and separated on their 11th wedding anniversary, court documents obtained by news show.

The 51-year-old Jackass star filed for divorce from Nelson in Los Angeles on Tuesday, citing irreconcilable differences in court documents obtained by news.

Court documents also reveal that Knoxville (real name Philip John Clap) and Nelson separated on September 24, 2021 — their 11th wedding anniversary date. Knoxville wants joint and legal custody of the former couple's two children, 12-year-old son Rocco and 10-year-old daughter Arlo.

The divorce papers also state that Knoxville believes he owns the property separate from Nelson; However, he was "not aware of the type and scope of the specific fund," which will be clarified later.

It is unclear whether Nelson is legally represented to speak on his behalf.

Although Knoxville usually keeps his private life secret, the longtime prankster wrote a sweet tribute to Nelson on Instagram in honor of Mother's Day 2021.

"Happy Mother's Day to my one true love and the most beautiful mother our children could wish for," she wrote alongside two photos of Nelson and his children. You bless us every day, and we love you so much.
