John Snow bows to Channel 4 news in 32 years

John Snow presents the latest issue of Channel 4 News in 32 years Years to the program director. The 74-year-old, one of the British TV news anchors, described the role as "the greatest privilege of my life."

Former Prime Minister Gordon Brown was one of those who paid homage to Snow, calling it a "British institution." After watching videos of some of his best moments, Snow was greeted with applause from his colleagues in the newsroom.

Co-host Krishnan Guru-Merti described Snow as "the most energetic, enthusiastic, dedicated and curious TV journalist who brings compassion and humanity into her coverage, whether in the studio, in war or a disaster zone."

He added, "No wonder viewers like him or politicians who are angry with his questions respect him. The last day was very emotional for the entire editorial team. We knew it was coming, but we can't believe it's happening now. Katie Newman, another Channel 4 anchor, wrote on Twitter that appearing with Snow was the "privilege of my life." "

Program Editor Ben De Pierre said: "We are all honored to work with John, not only for his outstanding journalism but also because he is a beautiful person and friend and an example to all of us on how to get a Story report and are also interested in what does that mean?

"He is the heart and soul of Channel 4 News, and we all love him." When Snow's departure was announced in April, Channel 4 said that Snow would now "feature longer projects ... and represent the channel on other things."

He will now "focus on charity and some of his many passions in life, stories of people, inequality, Africa, Iran, and the arts," the broadcaster said.

Snow joined Channel 4 News after serving as Washington's ITN correspondent and diplomatic editor in the 1980s.
