Joanna Gaines has been wearing these $60 sneakers for almost a decade

Classics like subway tile and exposed brick have always appealed to Joanna Gaines, and the same could be said of her wardrobe.

When she's not wearing her Birkenstock slides or Hunter boots, the Magnolia Network star is most likely sporting her Converse Chuck Taylor All-Star sneakers. The classic, comfortable sneakers have been around for decades, and Gaines has been wearing them for a long time. However, she most recently wore them while preparing her Magnolia Market business for the spring season.

Since the premiere of Fixer Upper on HGTV in 2013, the designer has maintained the shoes in her rotation. Since then, she's been wearing them while working on restoration projects and shooting Fixer Upper: Welcome Home. To commemorate the opening of Ferny's Plant Shop, she even put together a matching outfit with her sister, complete with Converse sneakers. They can be worn with casual shorts to gorgeous sundresses, and she always wears them with denim.

The legendary sneakers first debuted in 1917 as high-top basketball shoes. Over the years, there have been many variations, including the canvas low-top version that Gaines wears. The flexible sneaker is now available in various colors and with a variety of entertaining features, such as a platform bottom for increased height and treads inspired by hiking.

Fans of the classic sneakers have flocked to them, including a slew of celebrities who have worn them on and off the red carpet. Gigi Hadid recently wore a mustard yellow version, while Mindy Kaling chose vibrant pink.

Timothée Chalamet made a case for wearing the shoes to formal settings when he wore the high-top version to the Met Gala last year, demonstrating their versatility even further. A few months later, Blake Lively recreated the look at a movie premiere by pairing them with a luxury gown.

The shoes have received over 23,000 five-star reviews on Amazon alone. And there are 1,500 more at Nordstrom. They're described as "very comfortable," "always in style," and their "go-to shoe" by Amazon reviewers.
