Jennifer Aniston Remembers Filming for The Final Episodes of The Ellen DeGeneres Show

"I still can't say," the actress, who recently worked with Vital Proteins, told newsabout the end of the Ellen DeGeneres Show.

Jennifer Aniston struggled to stay together while filming the final episode of The Ellen DeGeneres Show.

"Surprisingly very sad," Aniston, 53, recalled to the news. I did the show earlier this year and then I was so emotional, I was like, 'I couldn't do that in the last show.' So I'm going to lose it."

Aniston, CEO of Vital Proteins, has appeared on The Ellen DeGeneres Show several times during its 19-season cycle.

The actress was DeGeneres' first guest on the show in September 2003 — and in a moment that went full circle, she returned for the final episode, which was recorded on April 28 and aired almost a month later on April 26—aired in May.

During the series's final installment, 64-year-old Aniston and DeGeneres relive all their shared memories of the show. The "Friends" actress later gave DeGeneres a "thank you for the memory" mat as a nod to the carpet she gave the host during their first broadcast conversation years ago. Before recording the segment in the studio, the morning show actress told news that she wanted to see her friend backstage one last time.

"We made sure to see each other beforehand so we could get away from all these [emotions]," said Aniston, who joined singers Pink and Billy Aish for the closing. "It didn't look like the last show. It was weird.

And even though it's been a few weeks since DeGeneres left the show, Aniston says she still doesn't know how she will never guest on a talk show again.

"I still can't imagine that," he said. "It won't be around anymore because it's a staple."

"Even though the world was here before Ellen and will be hereafter, it has been a source of people's joy, love, joy, and laughter. So it's sad," she added. "I don't know what will fill it."
