On June 20, Union Civil Aviation Minister Hardeep Singh Puri had said that the universal flight tasks will begin simply after different nations open their air space or fringes.

Planned global traveller flights were suspended in India on March 23 due to the coronavirus pandemic. Air India and other private local aircraft have been working unscheduled global repatriation trips under the Vande Bharat Mission, which was begun on May 6 by the Central government. India continued booked local traveller trips on May 25, following a hole of two months.
