INDIAN ARMY tributes to ‘Corona Warriors’ with Fly-pasts.

On Sunday 3rd May 2020, The Indian Air Force carried out fly-pasts over major cities and towns all over India. It was beautiful scenes as helicopters showered petals on hospitals to acknowledge and express appreciation to healthcare professionals fighting Coronavirus pandemic at the forefront. 


Indian Army deployed special bands:


Indian Army also deployed military bands for frontline warriors to perform outside hospitals dedicated to COVID 19 treatment. 

 

Guwahati, Kochi, Mumbai to Leh:


Chief of Defence Staff General Bipin Rawat’s Friday one announcements and all the jets like MiG-29, Sukhoi-30 MKI and Jaguar conducted fly-pasts over major cities from Leh to Kochi and Mumbai to Guwahati. 


Navy too also appreciated:


The Indian Navy Ships’ also showed ‘Thank You‘ messages along with showering petals on coastal states with the help of its helicopters to salute ‘Corona Warriors’.

 

The exercise began with laying wreath at the police memorial in Delhi by honouring and felicitating the personnel deployed for enforcing nationwide lockdown. 


The fleet of Military Jets hovered over the city for 30 minutes as a tribute to the medical professionals and front line workers. IAF rained petals in Delhi, Mumbai, Gujarat, Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, West Bengal and Kerala. In the evening The Eastern Naval Command, The Southern Naval Command and the Western Naval Command also illuminated few warships docked at major ports, PTI reported. 


INS Vikramaditya ship anchored at Karwar Coast, to be illuminated at 19:30 and will remain lit till midnight said, defence officials. 

 

As per the Health Ministry, the total number of coronavirus cases climbed to 39,980 on Sunday recording 83 deaths in the last 24 hours, taking the tally to 1301. To encourage the efforts of health care professionals, Indian Army saluted and showed gratitude in these times of turmoil.
