India begins to jab the precautionary dose of Corona vaccine, no registration required

After PM Modi’s announcement, the vaccination of booster dose or what PM Modi called in his speech ‘precautionary dose’ has begun in the nation from 10th January,2022 i.e. this Monday. In the war against Covid-19 pandemic, PM Modi has given the approval of starting ‘precautionary dose’ for health and frontline workers. The dose is also available for senior citizens above the age of 60 years and those who have any serious disease by taking their doctor’s advice.

PM Modi in his speech named the dose ‘precautionary dose’ instead of ‘booster dose'. This precautionary dose of corona is started in the country when the third wave of corona is at its peak in the country. More than 1.5 lakh new cases of Corona are reported every day in the country. Unlike the first and second dose where registration was necessary, people don’t have to register for ‘precaution dose’. Please note that the central government has yet to take a decision on booster doses for adults.

The booster dose can be taken only after 9 months of a second dose of corona. According to reports, the third dose will be the same vaccine that people have received for their first and second doses. The Center has said that the vaccine that has been taken earlier, the same vaccine will be given as a booster dose. If someone has received the Covishield vaccine as their first and second vaccine, then he will be given the same vaccine as the third dose.
