Power poles have fallen. The communication system has come to a standstill as the mobile service has stopped. Rescue teams are working hard to help those stranded in Florida.


1.8 million people in the state of Florida are forced to live in the dark. Hurricane Ian hit the Florida coast with winds of 240 kilometers per hour and has been pouring heavy rain ever since. Flooding has occurred in several areas of Florida. Experts estimate that the damage caused by this storm is more than 260 billion dollars.


More than 25 lakh houses have collapsed

More than 2.5 million people have lost their homes in Florida so far due to the hurricane. Rescue teams are working to save thousands of people trapped in houses and buildings. The National Hurricane Center has predicted that Hurricane Ian could make landfall in South Carolina on Friday. Ian is considered one of the most dangerous hurricanes in US history.


Rescue operations are underway in Florida

Florida Governor Ron DeSantis said at least 700 rescue missions have been launched so far, most of them by air.


Flood risk has increased in South Carolina

As much as 8 inches of rain fell from South Carolina to Virginia, raising the risk of flooding. Officials issued an emergency alert before the storm.
