Here are the guidelines you need to know if you are planning to get married during the Covid pandemic
The wedding industry got a lot of inflation when things went a little normal after the 2nd lockdown. But in January, Covid cases are increasing again. On 9th January 2022, there were more than 1,79,339 cases of Covid-19 in India. This means that if people are not already wearing masks, the government will soon impose a lockdown in the country again. According to some experts, the 3rd wave of Corona has now entered our nation. These are the wedding guidelines during the Covid era:
In Maharashtra, the maximum number of attendees is now restricted to only 50 people. The night curfew in the state is from 9PM to 6AM.
In the national capital Delhi, a maximum of 20 guests are allowed at weddings organized at home or in courts. The national capital has imposed a complete weekend curfew and night curfew on regular days from 10PM to 5AM.
In Gujarat, the number of people allowed in political/social gatherings as well as weddings in open spaces is 400 people. Whereas, in closed venues only 50% capacity is allowed. The number of people allowed at funerals is 100. Curfew timings are 10PM to 6AM.
In Rajasthan, 100 people are allowed in wedding ceremonies and the curfew timings are 11PM - 5AM. People arriving from other states via flights or trains need to have a double-dose vaccination certificate or a negative RT-PCR test report conducted within 72 hours prior.
The state of Karnataka has imposed curfew from 10PM - 5AM. The maximum number of people allowed in weddings in open spaces is 200 people and 100 in closed spaces.
Tamil Nadu has allowed a maximum of 100 people at wedding ceremonies and curfew from 10PM - 5AM.
Night curfew in West Bengal is 11PM - 5AM. Maximum number of people allowed at weddings are 50 people (Including all social, religious gatherings).
In Kerala, the number of people allowed in wedding related functions and other events is maximum of 150 people in open spaces and 75 people in closed spaces. The night curfew timings are 10PM - 5AM.
In Uttar Pradesh, 50% capacity is allowed in open spaces and maximum of 100 people in closed places for weddings. The night curfew timings are 10PM - 6AM.
In Haryana, a maximum of 100 people are allowed in the wedding ceremonies and night curfew from 11PM - 5AM are applicable only in major districts like Gurgaon, Faridabad, Ambala, Panchkula and Sonipat.
