Hayden Panettiere uses his voice to support those he loves.
In a video on his Hoplon International YouTube page, the 32-year-old Nashville graduate refers to the ongoing war against Ukraine sparked by Russia's invasion last month. Calling for everyone's support at this challenging Time, Panettiere spoke of his efforts to raise vital funds for medical supplies and protective equipment for those fighting for their lives on the Ukrainian front lines.
It's great to know that the Ukrainian people and those I call my friends and family are desperate to defend their way of life and the country they love.
Panettiere continued, "I founded Hoplon International to bring aid and assistance to Ukraine right on the front lines.
Before finishing his message, Panettiere advised everyone not to "standstill" while the invasion continued. "Together, we can change their fight." Panettiere shares his seven-year-old daughter Kaya with former professional boxer Vladimir Klitschko. His ex is from Ukraine, but the brother of retired athlete Vitali Klitschko is the mayor of the state capital, Kyiv.
In his video message, which was also shared on the organization's YouTube page, Wladimir said: "Hi, I'm Wladimir Klitschko from Kyiv, Ukraine. Please support the Hoplon International Foundation to stop Russian aggression and end the war in Ukraine. Thank you."
Panettiere recently confirmed that Kaya's daughter was "safe and not in Ukraine" amid the war. The mother's statement came in response to a fan expressing her concern in an Instagram post in which the actress showed her support for the Ukrainian people.
What (Russian President Vladimir) Putin did is disgraceful," Panettiere wrote in Time. I wish you more support and will be there fighting with you! But, for now, I ask those of us who couldn't be there to stand on your shoulders, stand on your shoulders in solidarity with the Ukrainian people and show your support for #democracy."
