Four main terrorist groups’ Chiefs, executed in the last four months, says J&K Police.

On Sunday Kashmir’s IGP Vijay Kumar revealed that the chiefs of four main  terrorist outfits – Lashkar-e-Taiba, Hizbul Mujahideen, Jaish-e-Muhammad, and Ansar Ghazwat-ul Hind – have been killed in counter-terror operations carried out by the security forces in the valley. In a press conference, Vijay Kumar said,” I congratulate the security forces, as it is for the first time in history that the four chiefs of main terrorist outfits – Lashkar-e-Taiba, Jaish-e-Muhammad, Hizbul Mujahideen Ansar Ghazwat-ul Hind have been killed in four months. Elimination of leadership causes damage to the outfit.”


Two successful counter-terror operations in the last two days:

IGP Kumar further revealed to the media that two successful counter-terror operations were held in the last two days with no collateral damage. He said,” In an operation in Kulgam on Saturday, two terrorists were killed while the other two managed to escape. One of the terrorists is from Pakistan's Punjab province. He is active in Kulgam for the last three years. He is a shooter and IED expert. An AK-47 has been recovered from his possession along with pistol and explosives. An AK-47, an M4 carbine and a pistol were recovered from Pakistani Jaish-e-Muhammad terrorist’s possession in Kulgam. An M4 rifle was recovered in yesterday’s shooting of the Pakistani drone.” Border Security Force (BSF) on Saturday morning had shot down a Pakistani spy drone in Kathua.


Three terrorists killed in Srinagar encounter:

Three local terrorists were gunned down in Srinagar’s Zabidal, as part of a counter-terror operation. All of them were local terrorists and were reasoned with to surrender, but after they refused to put their guns down, a short encounter resulted in their deaths.
