Amid ongoing military operations, Russia has asked China for military assistance, including drones, to sustain its invasion of Ukraine, according to a top US official quoted by CNN.
Following Russia's military operation in Ukraine, the United States and its European allies imposed sanctions on several major Russian banks and high-ranking Russian officials, including President Vladimir Putin, as well as suspending Russia's participation in the SWIFT financial system.
The Chinese embassy in Washington's spokesperson, Liu Pengyu, said he was unaware of any recommendations for China to assist Russia.
