Flights to UAE: Do travelers need a Covid PCR test to travel?

Unvaccinated tourists arriving in the capital of the United Arab Emirates must undergo a PCR test at an accredited clinic 48 hours before the flight or a Covid1-9 replacement certificate with a QR, according to information on the Etihad Airways website in Abu Dhabi -Send code. , dated within 30 days.

The announcement came after the United Arab Emirates National Authority for Emergency, Crisis and Disaster Management (NCEMA) relaxed Covid-19 safety protocols, including lifting PCR testing requirements for vaccinated residents and exempting residents from wearing masks. Similarly, Dubai's leading airline, Emirates, says that travelers traveling to Dubai must present a Covid-19 vaccination certificate or negative PCR test that is valid for no more than 48 hours.

The world's largest international airline said that a valid vaccination certificate must show that "the passenger was fully vaccinated with a vaccine agreed by WHO (World Health Organization) or the United Arab Emirates and contains a QR code." 

Similarly, for unvaccinated passengers, PCR test certificates for Covid-19 must also have a QR code, and an approved healthcare provider must perform the test. Emirates said travelers must pass a PCR test upon arrival in Dubai upon request and be quarantined until they receive a negative result. If a passenger tests positive, they must follow instructions from local health authorities.

Dubai's leading airlines say printed or digital PCR tests or vaccination certificates in English or Arabic will be accepted and include a QR code. SMS certificate not received.
