Tucci claims he was diagnosed with a tumor near the base of the tongue three years ago. Unfortunately, the Cancer was "too large to operate" and could only be treated with "high-dose radiation and chemotherapy."

For those who don't know, Stanley's wife, Kate Spat-Tucci, died of breast cancer more than a decade ago at the age of 47.

After seeing his late wife, the actor claimed that he was forced to undergo "high doses of radiation and chemotherapy", something he did not want to do. "I vowed never to do anything like this because my first wife died of cancer and it was terrible to see her undergo this treatment for so many years," Tucci said, according to Deadline.

However, Tucci says that at one point her therapy included the use of a feeding tube. "The boys are great, but it's tough," he said. "He had a feeding tube for six months. I hardly made it to the twins' prom.

He said the experience made him older. "[Cancer] makes you more anxious also less anxious at the same time. "I'm much older than before I was sick. But, you still want to make progress and get things done," Tucci concluded, saying it was a deadline.
