Facebook fined for $1.6 Million by Brazil Ministry. Not a good start of 2020 for FB team.
Not a good start for a Business Giant and most loved App Facebook as Brazil Ministry slams them for 6.6 million reais which is more than 11,71,51,000 rupees; they are criticized because of improperly sharing user data.
According to the report ministry department of consumer protection in Brazil found that 443,000 Facebook users were improperly available to developers of an App called "thisisyourdigitallife."
According to Brazil Govt, the data was being shared for questionable purposes. In reply, Facebook said in an emailed statement that it was evaluating its legal options regarding this case.
Adding to the topic Facebook team also said they focus hard on protecting people's privacy. They have made the changes that restricted the information which App developers can access.
But Brazilian Govt is not happy with Facebook company, world most significant social network platform provider failed to provide a user with adequate information regarding default privacy settings, mainly related to data of friends and friends of friends.
Brazilian Ministry said it launched the investigation following media reports of the misuse of user data by political consultancy firm Cambridge Analytica in 2018.
Well, Facebook has got ten days to keep their side, and if they failed to do that, then they have to pay the fine in 30days if they were unable to answer then it will damage the Facebook image, and it will be a tough start for FB team in 2020.
