EXO's Kai is the newest musician in "It" fashion.

From oversized street clothes in dominoes to traditional Korean outfits in peach tones, Kai outlines his style and gives fans a glimpse of how he creates clothes that fit.

Nothing has ignited so quickly from the embrace of a K-pop band in the upper echelons of fashion. Rose went down in history and CL as the first K-pop star to walk the carpet at the Met Gala. Giso surprised fans with an exclusive look at the Dior 2022 cruise collection just before its launch. BTS is the first K-pop band to represent Louis Vuitton. But no one is so respected by Kai EXO.

There's something very refreshing about Kai's style. The approach is carefully screened despite the significant cuts, tailored suits, and layers synonymous with Korean style. Between the monotonous combination of costumes and ornate Gucci accessories, there's a sense of control that's a bit remote. "The concept is the most important thing," he said confidently after being named an ambassador for Seoul Fashion Week. 

In many ways, Kai combines simplicity with eccentricity while referring to the history of fashion and music. Airports are often a runway for musicians and uphold this tradition. While many EXO members have struck regional deals with major labels, Gucci is quick to add a new style icon to its roster of global ambassadors – a title Kai shares with Harry Styles, Miley Cyrus, and Florence and the Machine. After his appearance at the brand's resort event in 2018, fans were enraged by his futuristic and personal approach to menswear. "Foreign brands are watching us," he explained. "They look at our popularity, the characteristics of the group, the identity of the person and see if they match their brand. That the two can form a synergy and then grow together and unite."
