Euro is Google's best search year in the UK.

This year, the three most popular terms on Google UK are football-related, with Covid only being mentioned once in the top 10.

Google News Labs CEO Matt Cook said the annual list contained "a glimpse of the spirit of the nation."

"In an unpredictable year, we in the UK are turning to sport, entertainment, gardening, recipes, and travel to get through some of the most frustrating and difficult times," he added.
