Disposal Of New Teams In IPL: Two New Units Will Be Added To The IPL.

All eight franchises and most players have reached the UAE. As per the information received on Tuesday, the two teams for the Indian Premier League will be auctioned on October 17, while the 'tender invitation' will be procured till October 5. Hence, September 21 will be the last day for all inquiries.

The news agency ANI has informed that the auction for the two new teams of IPL will be held on October 17.

The IPL Governing Council started the tender process on August 31, 2021, to auction two new teams. Accordingly, two new units will be included in the mega auction in 2022, after which the number of franchises in the league will increase to 10.

The base price for the bid is Rs. 2000 crores!

According to PTI sources, any company can buy a bid document for Rs 75 crore. Earlier, the base price from the two new teams was being considered at Rs 1,700 crore. But later, it was decided to raise the price to Rs 2,000 crore. It said BCCI was expecting at least Rs 5,000 crore.

Lucknow's Ikana Stadium could be the base site.

The base sites of the new teams include Ahmedabad, Lucknow, and Pune. Ahmedabad's Narendra Modi Stadium and Lucknow's Ikana Stadium could be the choice of the franchise as the capacity of these stadiums is high.
