Coronavirus Bollywood: SRK joins hands with world artists for a virtual global event to honour frontline healthcare warriors.
To show his support & honour the undying efforts of the healthcare warriors who are working day & night to save the lives of the people all around the world due to the pandemic called COVID-19, superstar & actor Shahrukh Khan has come forward to participate in a virtual global event. The actor recently announced about it & said that he would be a part of the "One World: Together At Home" global virtual event which has been organised by the World Health Organisation (WHO) & Global Citizen, an international advocacy organisation.
The event is a digital initiative that will have a global broadcast with the aim to support WHO & frontline healthcare workers. SRK will be joining hands with various artists from all around the world to participate in this noble cause & event to show his support to all those who are trying their best in fighting against the virus & saving lives.
To inform about the same, the actor on Twitter wrote, “Health care workers on the frontlines of the #COVID19 crisis need our support. That’s why I’m standing in solidarity with @glblctzn and @WHO for One World: #TogetherAtHome a one-night special event on April 18.”
The unique digital event will see stellar performances from both the Indian & western industry artists including Lady Gaga, Jennifer Lopez, Priyanka Chopra Jonas, Taylor Swift, Lilly Singh, Vishal Mishra, Adam Lambert, Chris Martin, Camila Cabello, David and Victoria Beckham, Jennifer Hudson, Billie Joe Armstrong, Ellen DeGeneres, Paul McCartney, Idris and Sabrina Elba, Oprah Winfrey among many other big names.
The concert which has been curated in collaboration with Lady Gaga will be streaming across several global platforms like Instagram, Facebook, Amazon Prime Video, Alibaba, Apple, on 18th of April. It will also be aired on National Geographic on 19th of April at 5.30 am (IST) & a repeat telecast would be aired at 8 pm (IST).
